I recommend that you start looking for your wedding dress one year before your wedding, with a view to deciding around 6 months before. This is because most manufacturers need 4 months to process your order and you might need some alterations too!
BUT if your wedding is less than 6 months away, there are plenty of other options to look at:

I stock suppliers who can process your order in 8-10 weeks and will make your dress to the exact length that you need, so saving on the cost and time for alterations!

Bianco Evento, for example, keep wedding dresses in stock, so as long as they have the size you require, you can get your dress in a couple of weeks.

All the dresses here in stock can be bought "off the rail" for a 25% discount and you can take your dress away on the day!
Top Tips FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT!

Wear comfortable underwear that you're happy to be seen in ! Preferably nude or white, but not essential. A strapless bra helps too!

Little or no make-up to prevent marking a dress please

Come with an open mind! You will be surprised at what dresses you like.

Ideally no more than 2 guests please, so that any decisions aren't by committee!!! (but please just ask if that's a problem)

Sorry, but the studio is not suitable for under 5's when you're looking for your wedding dress but fine if you're looking for Bridesmaids or Flower Girl dresses
